DayWalkers

Orlando, FL 3 tracks

Daywalkers started in a basement in Orlando, Florida (a rare thing in a city built on sand, which may explain why they never stayed down there long). What began as late-night rehearsals under a single bare bulb slowly turned into weekend shows, then longer drives, and finally a secondhand tour van with more miles than sense and a cassette deck that only plays side B. The name is a small joke the band likes to tell on themselves. A daywalker is something that should belong to the night but moves through daylight without burning. That's roughly how they see their music: thoughtful songs about big, strange ideas, played in the open where anyone can hear them. The sound is soft rock at its warmest: unhurried melodies, gently ringing guitars and stacked harmonies that fold over each other like evening light on a lake. Underneath the softness, the songs keep asking questions. They borrow from science fiction and philosophy, wondering about time, about what lasts and about what might be waiting just past the edge of the map. Their EP, *Transcend*, gathers those questions into songs made for long drives and quiet hours, the kind of record that rewards a second listen and a third. Daywalkers are still on the road and still asking. They're not in a hurry, and they're not stopping.

Buying here sends DayWalkers 90% of the price, after card processing, straight into their own account. No pool, no distributor in the middle.
